About

Developed by the GEDI-Hub

The resources on this site are brought to you by the GEDI-Hub, an initiative of Gateway Association for Community Living. From 2021 to 2025, the GEDI-Hub provided organizations across Alberta with tools to attract diverse talent and develop sustainable EDI strategies. Everything the GEDI-Hub produced during this time, including toolkits, reports, workshops and more, was channeled into a series of 50+ EDI resources that you can navigate at your own pace, free of charge. While the GEDI-Hub has closed its doors, its legacy lives on, ensuring workplaces continue to benefit from its unique approach to EDI.

Informed by diverse perspectives

The GEDI-Hub was unique in that it prioritized the distinct perspectives of Indigenous peoples, racialized newcomers and people with disabilities. Naturally, the 50+ resources on this site prioritize these perspectives, too. In fact, the GEDI-Hub worked closely with Community Futures Treaty 7; Multicultural Health Brokers; and Gateway Association for Community Living, the GEDI-Hub’s parent organization, in creating these resources. Community Futures Treaty 7 provided an Indigenous lens, while Multicultural Health Brokers provided a newcomer lens and Gateway Association for Community Living provided a disability lens.
